Does anybody really think Koepka vs. DeChambeau is good for the game?  I thought the game thrived off its perception as a gentlemanly sport.

I'll second/third your opinion, John. Holds no interest for me. Just play.

The saddest thing is that both have interesting stories, if the press, or they, or their agents would bother to tell them rather than their social media fake feud and bratty(Bryson)/sullen(Brooks) approaches to the game and interviews.

No John, I don't believe anyone does. I think they see it as a sign of the times in both the world at large, and the PGA TOUR with it's emphasis on these two meatheads as superstars.

I thinks Brooks actually does think it’s good for the game.  (I wouldn’t agree, but he didn’t consult me.)

I’m pretty sure he would say the same stuff is prevalent in basketball or baseball, so why not golf?  He thinks of Tour players as professional athletes, not as gentlemen out to uphold decency in the world.

It's the World Wrestling Federationization of sports.

Soon we can add walk up music for tee shots on every hole.

I think the whole Brooks/Bryson thing is juvenile. Both players could disappear tomorrow and golf would be fine. In fact it might be better.
