Williamson use to winter in Deland, FL, I seem to recall in a bio for him. So I can see the connection to contract Dermont E. Miner to lay out your course. Their are other Miner layouts in Florida and work of his in New York. I am very uncertain of a Ross connection because I believe the newspaper article is incorrect. It is true though that a RCC member did visit President Taft and invite him to the opening. I don't think Taft attended though. I'll see what I can assemble in another post sometime soon.
