Donald Ross' best holes with 1 or fewer bunkers

The par three 17th on the South course at Detroit GC has no bunkers.

The 8th at Manakiki in Cleveland only has one bunker in the 1952 aerial.  There are now some greenside bunkers around a shrunken green that are unnecessary given the long approach shot.

I believe Ross touched up or reno’d CCV’s westHampton course in 1920. So not sure if this would apply but the 6th there is an amazing par 3. 210 to 190 give or take totally blind tee shot. Slightly down the hill, they have two small mounds he built up. They call them the dragons teeth. Those effectively mark the edge of the green both left and right to give you your line. OB left and one bunker on that left side. Old school squared off green running back to front. If you hate the hole, you hate golf.

The 13th at Charlotte CC has a creek but no bunkers...

Someone else already mentioned the 4th hole at Sedgefield as only having one bunker, but the 7th hole there doesn't have any unless I'm completely misremembering.

 No bunkers on the volcano 4th at Wilmington Municipal. A course with greens too good to pass up if you are in the area.

Dan C -- offered the 1st hole...the hole, at the Orchards, that popped into my head was the par 3, 10th -- 1/3 of the green is a false front

#6 at CC of Buffalo.  One of the most eye-popping volcano greens I have ever seen.  1 bunker on the side of one mountain.

Montclair Golf Club - 3 of 2 and 6 of 2 are both long, bunker-less par 4s.  The 3rd is particularly good, playing 440 yards downhill with a creek crossing the fairway about 110 yards short of the crowned green.  Both of these holes will be getting the Brian Schneider treatment starting mid-July...not sure they'll remain bunker-less!
