I have two rainsuits and am looking at them right now.
FootJoy rain suit is like a potato sack made from industrial garbage bag material. Fits like a pair of 1980's pleated baggy pants.
Kjus rain pants has a very contemporary look/feel/cut, etc and state of the art fabric from a proprietary source in Asia. Makes Goretex look like gabardine.
Galvin Greene may be sold at PGA Superstore, but Kjus is at every top 200 course out there for a reason...;-)...and that IS part of their marketing strategy. Most Kjus pieces will have club logos on them. At ~$900 per suit, they are sold to the audience that has the money and wont barf at the price tag. Kjus is not mass-marketing. They would decline a relationship with big box stores just like Peter Millar does.
But, Kjus is also not a big seller to the larger framed or "roomier" golfer...;-)
Euro styling, slimmer cuts, tapered legs...not a great fit for the "Dad-bod" crowd...;p-) They buy Galvin Greene and then say they hate Kjus when, most likely, they tried on Kjus and it was like a sausage casing...
Exactly why Kjus is NOT sold at any Trump properties. Didnt fit the Trumpasaurus himself...
