Because I'm so young, I have a long way to go to catch up to all you folks! But I think my 10 bucket list courses would be as follows:

-The Old Course
-Cape Breton Highlands Links
-Royal Hague
-Kawana
-Royal Melbourne
-Crystal Downs
-Morfontaine
-Brookline
-Swinley Forest
-Muirfield

Of course, Cypress and PV and all those usual ones are on it as well, but I figure these are sort of unique and different enough that it makes it more fun than just listing the world top 15 or something. My 10 I've played:

-Shinnecock
-Merion
-Jasper Park
-Rock Creek Cattle
-No. 2
-Pacific Dunes
-Capilano
-St. George's
-Pasatiempo

And the last spot I tend to flip-flop between Sagebrush, Inverness Club, and Toronto Golf Club

If you've not played yet in Great Britain & Ireland, trust me, more than three of your bucket list courses are there.

Tom,

I have not yet been outside Canada and the US! Any travel I've done thus far has been for hockey or golf tournaments, and just recently started travelling to play golf courses. I'm hoping to go in 2024 to England, Wales & Scotland for an extended stay.

Gotta love Golf Club Atlas and those of us with the sickness. Got paired up with 3 strangers at Aiken and after spying each other's golf bags, bag tags, and logoed merchandise I instantly knew their names from GCA and that we'd be talking architecture for the next 4 hours.

Ok, back to thread.........

Cabot 2 courses
Sand Valley 3 or 4 courses soon (if I remember the progress there correctly)
Bethpage Red (maybe try to get on Friar's Head to see how the other half lives)
Trinity Forest
Streamsong 3 courses

Already at the limit. I guess it's time to quit.

Would love to see
Augusta National ~ I've seen a fair bit of Dr. Mackenzie's work in my lifetime would love to see firsthand his and Jone's work having viewed it on TV all these years {keep dreaming I know!}
Oakmont ~ Henry Fownes famed one and only reported masterpiece
Chicago ~ I've seen a little bit of Raynor and only one Macdonald and their template holes - hope to see this mix one day
Crystal Downs ~ as per ANGC above - I've seen a lot of Mackenzie {30+} but no Maxwell & thereby complete the set of Doak 10s
Prairie Dunes ~ as per Crystal Downs - no Maxwell
The Country Club ~ haven't seen any Willie Campbell work
Cabot Cliffs ~ hope to do more Coore and Crenshaw study
Tara Iti ~ hope to do more Doak study
Oakland Hills ~ hope to do more Ross study
Machrihanish ~ I have seen a lot of pictures of that 1st tee - I hope to soak in the view for myself one-day

I'd echo Crystal Downs(and no doubt multiple others that way), with Michigan another glaring hole in my golf course resume.
The rest are in areas I've been, but somehow missed

Isle Of Harris
Askernish
Rye
Old Sandwich
Old Town
Tobacco Road
New South Wales(fires changed my driving itinerary)
The Addington
Sunningdale Old and New

Pardon if I mix this up a bit, but I'm thinking my 'bucket list' is a bit "seasonal these days (daze):

- Play some of the great Heathland courses in August, when the purple heather is in bloom.
- Play some of the great courses in Japan in April, May (7-10 days ) when the Cherry Blossom trees are blowing petals across the fairways.
- Play some of the great Links of Great Britain and Ireland in a dry and dusty July.

I imagine any one of those timely trips would be grand.

Having just returned from a long European trip, and because I can get back there easily, my bucket list is about US locations not easily accessible.

The prairie intrigues me now.  So does Streamsong.

Rock Creek

Ballyneal
Sand Hills
Caprock Ranch
Dismal River
Prairie Club
Streamsong (x3)

I will be playing Iona and Lofoten next summer.

I'm already so far past my childhood bucket list of courses any new ones are just shiny new jewels to relish. Just crossed off Royal Birkdale (better than even my lofty expectations) and Ganton (best set of greens in the UK) from the list last week.

Given I am 20 months removed from being told you will likely never play golf again, just to be out there again is a bucket list achievement.

My reasonably attainable bucket list that I'm going to chase over the next few years:
THE LIDO/Sand Valley
Royal Melbourne West & East (had a trip booked that was cancelled by COVID)
Kingston Heath
Metropolitan (AUS)
Golf Club de Pan
The Hague GC
Royal Dornoch
Brora
St. George's Hill
Royal St. George's

Hope to see someday before I'm gone:
Cypress Point
Pine Valley
Fishers Island
Prairie Dunes
San Francisco

The regions I have not yet visited that I'm most hoping to make happen some day are:

New Zealand - planning to go when Te Arai is ready to play

Morocco - I've been drooling over a coffee table book of their courses for years.

India/Himalaya - Royal Calcutta and Tollygunge for the history, Ooty and Himalayas because they are CD Gourmet's

South Africa - Waiting until CD4 comes out so I know where to focus my efforts. Durban for sure - it's probably the biggest "name" course I remember reading about as a teenager that I haven't made it to yet.

New England - Every year I tell myself Next Year I'm going to rent a convertible and drive from Maine to New York stopping to play Donald Ross courses that I don't know anything about.

One offs I'd like to see but haven't made it to because of location - Banff, Olympic course in Brazil, Falsterboro, and Yangtze Dunes
