Ricefields Golf Course??

Was checking out something on Google Maps this AM and came across an abandoned golf course w/ some significant feature work that looked interesting. Off RT 95. Did a little digging and it's DLIII's Ricefields, which upon some investigation did not make it.


Anyone know the story? It appears bad timing w/ a 2008 launch.

I think it has been discussed here a couple of times. It was connected to an exclusive real estate development for ultra wealthy. The whole thing went under when the developers got at odds with each other and litigation ensued. I never got a chance to play it, but I did stop by once when it was still open and spoke with the young lady working the counter in the golf shop.


Recently the property was used as the site of one season of wrestler John Cena's "Camp Grit" and numerous films have been shot there
