Royal Ottawa, it isn’t even in the same province as Ottawa. If Quebec separates it won’t even be in the same country. It is in Gatineau, Quebec.

Toronto GC hasn’t been in Toronto for 110 years - it is in Mississauga. Hamilton is in Ancaster which technically wasn’t Hamilton but due to amalgamation several years ago Ancaster was subsumed into Hamilton.

Not quite related, but I saw on the news this morning that there is a course that is partly in Maine and partly in Canada, and due to differing restrictions, it is unavailable to most members.

Like Toronto GC, Royal Ottawa moved to Gatineau. It was originally in Ottawa

Aside from the examples Wayne listed, Royal Montreal Golf Club is in Ile Bizard, and in fact has not been in Montreal since 1896. Likewise for Royal Quebec, which is in Boischatel, but it also moved.

Seattle Golf Club and Chicago Golf Club come to mind as well

Jeff--

I saw the same report I...but it was on Canadian/State of Washington border...Point Roberts G&CC.  Legally in USA but to get to it from anyplace else in WA you must go thru Canada...and to get to it from Canada you must cross border into USA.  So the old saying is "you can't get there from here..."   Hard to believe but true and obvious once you see it on a map.  It is interesting...go to Google Maps for Point Roberts WA...the golf course in in the NW corned of Point Roberts, which is in the nW corner of WA
