Pinehurst No. 2 (off the street)

I see if you don't stay at Pinehurst Resort, you can only make a tee time on No. 2 twenty-four hours in advance. I'll be there in a group of four next June and would like to play No. 2 but not necessarily stay at the resort. Has anyone had any success getting on No. 2 "off the street?"

More likely on Monday and Tuesday. Later in the week groups with reserved tee times generally fill the tee sheets. Individuals have a better chance of filling vacant slot but you never know.

I have stayed in the condos that Pinehurst rents. That gives you full access to everything. We even ate in the Carolina Hotel.
