As one who's lived in the bay area for 20+ years, and the PNW for the better part of 8 years....The rain is in fact beyond plentiful in the PNW, as well as the overcast/grey days.

If it weren't for this, the population in them parts would likely be much larger....because its fantastic when the sun comes out.

Just cause I felt like looking it up.  I've compiled Average precipitation totals in a few PNW cities (by month and year), as well as a few cali ones for reference.  These are averages over the last 100 years or so.

Make no mistake, Eugene gets quite a bit of rain...significantly more than Portland and Seattle which surprised me.

The closer you are to the Cascade Mountains in this area, the more rain you are going to get. The weather patterns are going to be quite similar for Seattle, Portland, and Eugene, but Eugene is closer to where the clouds have to lighten themselves to get over the Cascades.

Moral to the story? Be a Beaver and move to Corvallis. ;D

The low score by a woman is now 58. It won't be a course record because the 11th was under construction and played as a par 3.  Length was about 5500.  Monica Vaughn, former NCAA team and individual champion.
