I think we need to define the term "Biarritz Hole" for this exercise.

If we're talking about original CBM/Raynor/Banks holes or holes inspired by CBM's concept of a Biarritz, then we are only talking about par 3 holes.  And only par 3's of a certain length.

Anything else is just a hole with a green with a swale in it.

Also, Sleepy Hollow is in New York and the Biarritz there was designed by CBM.

Sven

Although I’m a fan of the hole # 3 at Tobacco Road at 157 yards doesn’t fit the description of a traditional Biarritz.

Minnesota Valley was not designed by Seth Raynor. It was designed by W.C. (Bill) Clark and opened in 1924 as the Bloomfield Golf Club.

The members all think it was designed by Raynor. I think Bill Bergin who did the reno alos thinks it is Raynor. This is the first line on their website: "
Experience the difference of Minnesota Valley Country Club. Classically designed by Seth Raynor in 1924,

The club has never offered up any proof that Raynor was ever contacted or on site, never mind designed the course. Contemporary newspaper articles give the design credit to Clark who laid out other courses in the area.

Sven, do you feel the same about Redans, that they have to be par-3s, no such hole as two-shot redans?

By the way, it was correctly pointed out to me that both tiers and the swale of the Biarritz at Country Club of Fairfield (Conn.) are mowed at fairway height.

#11 Loch Lloyd CC - Kansas City - Tom Watson

#6 Forest Park Redbud - St. Louis - Robert Foulis but newspaper articles show it could have been laid out by Raynor

Do both tiers need to be at the same elevation to be considered a Biarritz?

Great list and great discussion...

Edits:

Blind Brook (#3) is Raynor, not CBM.

Follow-Up:
For Anthony P... CC of Fairfield...?... I'm not up to date on what renovations have been performed, but isn't their Biarritz no longer the green of the two shot 10th, but now rendered a fairway feature of the par 5 10th?...  It's been a Par 5 for more than 55-60 years, correct?.

Yes, you are correct. Robert Trent Jones in all his genius, abandoned the Biarritz and it is now in the middle of the 10th fairway. His abject disregard for the work of other architects never ceases to astound me. He was the second generation Tillinghast.

When did Tillie disregard the work of others?  When he did his cross-country tours for the USPGA in the 30s?

Wexford GC(Hilton Head) 16 is a par four with a wild Biarritz green.
Tim what is the correct design credit?  AP Designs but Byrd?  So Byrd/Palmer?

Thanks Pete..... added the 10 or so. I independently verified them all online via various searches to get hole numbers and architects where needed.
However, anyone tell us about Stone Ridge in MN hole #????????
