Mannings Heath (Colt) in West Sussex - punchbowl par 3
« on: August 12, 2020, 12:51:41 PM »
Saw an intriguing photo of the punchbowl 5th hole at Mannings Heath Waterfall course. Mannings Heath is in West Sussex, near Horsham and sort of in between Pulborough and Royal Ashdown Forest.

Kevin Murray's second picture shows what caught my eye.

Not a lot of pictures on the club's website, but see several holes of interest from the aerial and hole maps. Has anyone played here? Worth a look?

Worth a look?
Only one way to find out...
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Will have to rely on someone else for this as I'm unlikely to be entering the UK anytime soon.

They didn't try to hide the construction there!!

Looks an interest hole, and the course worth a visit.

I think I may be the only person who routinely watched Sky Golf's coverage of the Euro Pro Tour. They visit a lot of courses on the edge of golf designs' radar and the 2-hour highlights programme is nicely formatted so you get a good look at the courses.

Mannings Heath was one of the venues in 2019 and you can check it out, including this punchbowl hole, here:

I've not been there yet, but i'm interested to.

The youtube channel features many of the highlights from a bunch of interesting courses (and some not so interesting) through the UK and Ireland.
