Brandon Johnson interview
« on: July 18, 2020, 11:00:34 AM »
I want to thank the tree house for pointing me in the direction of Mr. Johnson. Few interview subjects of mine have answered questions as painstakingly (compliment) as did Mr. Johnson. Here is the link to the interview:

http://www.golfwrx.com/621404/an-in-depth-talk-golf-course-architect-brandon-johnson/?utm_source=Front&utm_medium=Featured_Latest&utm_campaign=GolfWRX_OnSite&utm_content=unused

In answer to John Kavanaugh's impending incursion, I was paid $450,000 to write this interview. I was given a 45-year loan, with no charge, by Porsche USA on any car I desire, and I will accrue 2.6 million hits from this discussion board alone. As a result, the economies of Nauru and western Iowa will go into freefall; Vatican City and Monaco will emerge from this tumult with stability.

1. Preemptive strikes only work when they are not expected.2. The question I thought that was most insightful was the one Brandon asked himself, perhaps you didn't want to broach that subject?  Insightful answer given by him certainly.

1. In the case of JK and my adoring-fans cohort, I disagree.

2. I absolutely wanted question nine, but I wanted Brandon to frame it. As an ally, at best, it is not my place to pose the question.

It is very astute of you to pick up on that. In these times, which should have been those (years ago) times, much transcends what we have taken as granted.

I have been fortunate to meet and talk with Brandon as well as visit old Tabby, post renovation. Golf architecture talks revolved around his vision for golf strategy and how he reworked Old Tabby to create a more strategic and multidimensional course that than the original. He did a great job. https://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,66118.msg1578520.html#msg1578520

One of the amusing things about Brandon (of which there are many; he's a helluva guy) is that any course he works on tends to have a great practice facility. Because he's a total range rat.

Excellent piece Ronald and Brandon. Thank you both!
