...in the next year or two from an “unknown” that should be pretty darn good.

Sorry Tim, a bit premature in terms of release but the site is extraordinary, Dunes, desert... probably as good as any in cabo.

Good golf people involved but developer, as always, controls the land. Looks promising at the moment.

No, he doesn't.

We can play The Masked Singer with this one, if we like.

First clue is, an unknown that isn't really unknown to us.
Coming in 2024
~Elmira Country Club
~Soaring Eagles
~Bonavista
~Indian Hills
~Maybe some more!!

Oooohhhh, that’s what those quotation marks meant. Now I get it.

The name would likely not be familiar to anyone here not in the design game.

As the senior associate he started but did not complete one of Cabo’s most recognized courses.

Jonathon,

It’s not Dennis Wise who I met here in Cabo as he and Tim Jackson (I believe) worked on Chileno Bay Club under the Fazio flag.

Going back a bit deeper in Cabo history than that.

Then, how about Greg Letsche?

On his own or w/ Ernie Els?

Mr Webb knows a bit of Cabo history it would appear. Greg will be the designer of the new course between Diamante and the new Norman course at Rancho San Lucas.

As noted, very good site including large dunes. I imagine the course will be pretty darn good.

No hard timelines but sooner rather than later.

@Greg Tallman

Just curious on how you would rank the courses down in Cabo now that there are so many good ones.
2024 Line Up: Spanish Oaks GC, Cal Club, Cherokee Plantation, Huntercombe, West Sussex, Hankley Common, Royal St. Georges, Sunningdale New & Old, CC of the Rockies, Royal Lytham, Royal Birkdale, Formby, Royal Liverpool, Swinley Forest, St. George's Hill, Berkshire Red, Walton Heath Old, Austin GC,

I tend to place courses into a group or tier...

Tier 1
Chileno Bay Club
Diamante Dunes

Tier 2
Cove Club (Cabo del Sol Ocean)
Twin Dolphin
Rancho San Lucas
El Dorado
Querencia

Tier 3
Cabo del Sol (Desert)
Quivira
Puerto Los Cabos (grudgingly and based on guest appreciation rather than personal taste)

Tier 4
Cabo Real
Palmilla
Club Campestre San Jose
El Cardonal (Diamante)

Tier 5
Cabo San Lucas CC
Vidanta (9)

Tier 4 is still pretty solid.

I have Chileno as a relatively easy #1 choice.

Not including Costa Palmas a little north of Cabo as I have not seen it at all. Feedback suggests it would be lower Tier 2 or atop Tier 3.

What course did he start and not finish as a Senior Associate?

Jim, well you obviously know what course I am referencing. This info relayed from a mutual friend who was there from day one. I take it you take exception to this?
