Can only think of Bill Murray in the storm in Caddy Shack. 8)
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

This is the lone cypress, in a photo posted on Instagram by Alan Shipnuck. From today's storm. It is 150 feet above sea level.

This is NOT 150' above sea level.
Will- not to belabor the point, but as you seem so adamant here's the quote from Golf Digest from their website:
"Needless to say, if this isn’t one of the golf photos of the year when all is said and done, then it’s going to be another very eventual 12 months for the sport. Pebble Beach’s Lone Cypress normally stands 150 feet above sea-level. Here we see it enveloped by waves, some even towering above the iconic landmark"https://www.golfdigest.com/story/monterey-bay-pebble-beach-lone-cypress-storms-waves-photo-golf

Of course they may be wrong, but the tree is 25+ feet tall and sits atop a cliff. I didn't make up the number.

So much golf to play, so little time....

The tree is 25 feet tall, so I'm pretty sure that's not a 125 foot tall cliff below it...

Anyway, 14 at MPCC seems to be recovering nicely. See the 5th pic in this Instagram post from Cal men's golf.

Nobody said you made up the number, Mark. Only that it's not 150'. Golf Digest got it wrong.

I’m told the 14th at MPCC Dunes is cleaned up and ready for play. IMHO it’s one of the best par 3’s on the Monterey Peninsula. Underrated.
