Opening in June, 2020, the Goat Trak at Ballyhack offers a fun alternative to a regulation 18-hole round.

The idea and layout were hatched by Lester George, Clint Tolbert, Stephen Ball, Ian Sikes, and Phil Owenby.

The course uses the golf course's 18 existing greens.  Each hole features a single zoysia teebox that offers a shot not typically offered during a "regular" round.

Actual lengths of holes can vary considerably based on pin positions.

The Goat Trak is meant to provoke fun afternoon/evening games and fellowship.

Tee pads are placed near, and often immediately adjacent to, cart paths.  They are not, generally, in view during normal play.

There is one additional tee box next to the fire pits and cottages, which overnight guests can use to play to the eighteenth green.  I think it's about 60 yards from the center of the green.

[I know the photos aren't great, but they're mainly intended to give an idea of teebox placements, angles, etc.]

The key to the 19th hole shot is hitting it with a red hot glowing Patty Berg iron.

Wade - cool idea for a quick run through of the course.

Has anyone seen this done on another course? I was down yesterday with Wade and it is a fun setup. Some of the shot angles are pretty difficult and require some ingenuity and imagination to pull off.

The club is thinking that the Goat Trak will only be open during the evening so it doesn't interrupt regular play. It is designed for folks staying in the cabins and want to play a quick go round after playing during the day.
