Land sakes, John Mayhugh, I'm blushing. Who would have thought a little old writer like me, from out-in-the-woods New York would garner the attention of a grand golf figure like your own self. What's more, you touk a heap of time from your day, to write up a detailed list of critiques, as a gesture of friendship-I thank you from my heart for the pointed and assistable feedback that you provided. It looks like we now have two fellers who are willing to edit for free. What a generous and magnanimous place this Golf Club Atlas is turning out to be.
Most people don't react to grammutical errors and punctiational fox paws like I do. I tend to shiver a bit when I see one, then I blinks my three eyes, to ensure that I did not misread the text. I then set to self-interrogation, where I blend a bit of meditative breathing with thoughtful consideration as to how such an error might have come to be. When they repeat themselves, as they clearly did in my most recent contribution to GolfWRX, my shiver count increases.
It's quite important for erudite folks like your own self to understand that I don't get paid by GolfWRX. Some of its employees and writers do, but I contribute to them because I have a Jonas to write. It's somewhat important for knowledgeable bodies like you to comprehend that the accusation of promotion demands that more than 1000 people will actually make a difference. 1000 visits to a site the size of GolfWRX, even in one day - ... - even in half of one day, or half of a half (which I believe is a third) of a day, is a drop in a spit can. Self-promotion also requires, my edumacators once told me, that one promote the self. In my articles, my humble self is never the topic. It is an event, a book, an interview subject.
I hope that this clarifies things. I could go on, but I'm running out of digital ink. I know that a scrupulous person such as yourself was aware from the beginning, but for the others who missed it, I might have tucked a few misgivings and topographical errors into this post, just to give you something to do on a rainy day.
I hope that we meet in person one day. I'd like to shake your hand.
with gratitude,
My Own Self
