Nice communication to the membership. A little bonus footage of all 3 courses for anyone interested:

Thanks for sharing Greg. Nice to get some insight into what's going on. A record for history as well.

Very cool and gives the viewer a good perspective and appreciation of the type of work maintenance crews perform - not only to the course in question, but the equipment and tools they use to maintain the course. Very impressive.

We have worked with 7 or 8 different greenkeepers in Australia now, including Leigh Yanner, and I would take any of them to run one of my courses any day.

When we set up the Renaissance Cup, I felt guilty for exposing Leigh -- here we had a big group coming from all over [including seven or eight top end greenkeepers] to play a course that still hadn't quite had time to mature, just a couple of days after playing at Royal Melbourne in peak form.  He did not even blink about it.  Come next summer, I would not be surprised if he has the best playing surface of anything in Australia.

I did wonder why they were going out at dawn when there aren't any golfers around, but I guess it's to space out the crew so they aren't all in the building at once.

How close is the Long Island Club to the National?

Hello Tommy. the Long Island course (no longer "club") is about 30/40 minutes drive away from the other 3 NGC courses which are all at the Cape Schanck site.
