I watched holes 1-3: Despite growing up playing there, I’d forgotten how broken and cool the last 80 yards of hole 1 is; and what a great green.


Fairway lines on 2 are horrible though. Maybe in an effort to keep R&A recommended fairway widths, they have left huge swathes of semi-rough over the best looking undulations. Then again, it was probably ever so. 2 always felt narrow.

Would prefer it if the big deep intimidating pot bunker well short of the 3rd green was still there. No opened-up sandy areas though, unlike so many other links courses these days.
