that's wild. Presumably not replicated through the rest of his irons?

wedge is mostly a touchy feely club, not a power club. Probably will get into the minds of other players.

Does he do the heel up chipping technique?

When Fred was with Lynx, I was pretty friendly with their tour rep. My dad was at Castle Pines watching me play and we were in the back of the range practicing while Freddie rested the new Black Cat irons.

He was hitting beautiful mid iron shots, one after another basically just commenting how good they felt
The rep asked him
To hit some off the toe to test the “forgiveness” of the irons.
Freddie just turned back and said Inhit them ALL off the toe!  They looked at his irons and they all had marks on the toe side of the sweet spots

My dad was a golf pro and a pretty good player, he was just shaking his head
🤣

The 8-degree gap between the PW(45) and his 54 degree sand wedge stuck out to me. An 8-degree gap in that part of the bag seems huge.

He has 3 distances for his 46 degree to fill the gap

Jeff - I have those three distances as well - unfortunately, I am not sure which swings they'll show up with. It is amazing how amazing these guy's hand-eye coordination and abilities to replicate the swing are

What’s amazing is that we once lived in a world where a person could amass such wealth for that skill. I can’t believe I use to need an excuse to get together with friends and drink. Hopefully the days of over compensating crowd gatherers are behind us. And not just women’s soccer.

It is amazing how gear effect can shape a swing.
I tend to play too much inside out and fight it regularly, resulting in many heel shots.
When swinging that way, my solid shots hook, but the heelers go straight, just a bit shorter-which I'm pretty good at allowing for.(unless it's really bad-then an actual shank) People will look at me like "where did that come from?" but that one I stiffed the hole before was just a fraction less heeled.
Freddy no doubt has allowed for toe hit gear effect for years-to better effect than you and I-with speed...

Strike point for lower handicappers with the shorter irons and especially the wedges is going to be towards the toe side of middle though Freddy's does seem to be very pronounced. This is due to more feel and control but is not something a player tries to do it just happens. It is not unusual for the long irons to be slightly heel side of middle.
