How about New England only?  (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)...only from courses I have played, 245 total.  I will put my second and third choice  after the first one.

A  Aroostook Valley in N. ME, Andover CC in MA, Atlantic GC, public in Plymouth MA...only 4 to choose from
B  Boston GC, Brae Burn, Black Rock
C  CC of Fairfield, Concord CC, Charles River
D  Dedham, Dorset FC, Dennis Pines...only 4 to choose from
E  Essex, Ekwanok, Eastward Ho!...only 5 E courses, but very strong
F  Farm Neck, Franklin Park, Fox Ridge in Maine...slim pickens
G  George Wright, GC of New England in NH, Green Mtn. National in VT
H  Hyannisport, Hartford GC, Highland Links
I  Indian Pond, Ipswich CC, Indian Ridge...all Mass mediocre privates, the only three I courses.
J  JP Larkin in VT, Juniper Hills in MA...the only two Js...JP Larkin is a fun 9-hole hidden gem.
K  Kittansett, Kebo Valley, Keney Park
L  Lake Sunapee, Longmeadow, Lake Winnipesaukee
M  Myopia, Misquamicut, Manchester CC
N  Newport, Northeast Harbor, Newport National
O  Old Sandwich, Oyster Harbors, Orchards
P  Plymouth CC, Portland GC, Prout's Neck
Q  Quail Ridge in MA is the only Q I've played...it opened in like 2006 and was later cut to 9 holes...nothing special.
R  Rutland, Red Tail, Ranch GC
S  Salem CC, Shelter Harbor, Stockbridge
T  TCC, Taconic, Tedesco
U  nothing here, although Unicorn GC is about 10 miles away but I've never played it
V  Vineyard Club, Vesper, Vermont National  (honorable mention to the Va-Jo-Wa)
W so many great candidates...Wannamoisett, Winchester, Worcester CC
X  NO X courses in New England, or even place names
Y  Yale, York Golf & Tennis in Maine
Z  No Z courses in New England, the only two Z place names (Zylonite and Zoar) in the NE states are within 15 minutes of Taconic.
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....
