Your first course back?
« on: March 24, 2020, 10:10:54 AM »
At some point, things will return to what will be considered (the new) normal. We'll move around, we'll travel, we'll be back out on golf courses.

When you imagine that happy day, which golf course do you think you'll want to play *first*?

As Spring becomes Summer, and we're breathing again the clean fresh air of middle earth, what golf course are you longing to play *most* of all?

I’ll return to the first course that had the courage to close. Right after sponsoring some first responders at my home course.

I'm going back to the nine-hole Scott Greens Golf Club, where I first played on July 13, 1971.   I haven't been there in close to 40 years.

The owners have a terrific and wonderfully affordable youth program that deserves my support so I just joined over the weekend, even though it's an hour from my house and I'll likely only get there a few times a year.

I'll also make some time to get to Cobb's Creek.

Of course, this assumes survival first, which is hardly assured for any of us.

What matters more to me is who I play with!  I miss my golf buddies!!
As for the course, I hope that I will be able to play my favorite first.
You never know how much you miss something until it is taken away!
Stay safe and healthy!
