Can't find Joel's thread via search, so wanted to again remind us passionate golfers and GCA fans, that David Kahn and his family are having their third annual ForeBatten charity auction fundraiser March 2nd.  It's in Scottsdale, Az. at Topgolf so attend if able, but also there is a collection of donated rounds that is the largest of the year anywhere starting Feb 18-Mar 2.  Great to see so many people try and help for this great family.

Oakmont, Fisher's Island, Indian Creek, Friars Head, Maidstone, Winged Foot, lunch with Jack Nicklaus, Riviera, Cal Club, Baltursol and over 100 others and growing.
God bless all who help charities when able.

Would love to paint a 20x30 inch oil painting for someone, but more importantly help Amelia and Makenzie and the wonderful Kahn Family.  Here is a link to my painting offer.  Thank you.

Jeff,

Very generous of you to donate the Olympia Fields round. Does the note about the course closing for the BMW mean that the round must be played before July or is it available after the BMW concludes?

Thanks,

Ira

It is available after as well.  Maybe the wording should change.  Have to work out the date.

There's going to be another "Follow the Architect Shadow Day" posted on the auction site in a few days. Last year was Tom Doak, this year Bill Coore.

How about Jack Nicklaus contributing to the cause?  Impressive gesture by the legend!

The entire golf community has responded to this.

As some may not know, there's only around 20 of these cases in the US. As a result, no pharmaceutical company is willing to spend the time and money to research.  The money raised the last 3 years goes to research on a variety of issues but it's expensive.  The foundation has been spending up to $50,000 per month to fund the research.

The good news is when a cure is found, it will have been entirely funded by the Golf community.

Quite a few new items listed. The auction closes this Monday.

Golf at Friars Head with the owner.  He's hoping to discuss architecture with the buyer.

Signed baseball's by Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Tom Glavine and Pedro Martinez.

A Dormie network membership for 1 year.

Batting practice with the Washington Nationals.

Many other items as well.

Contrary to my self interest given that I actually am leading for one item, but a cause worth another bump.

If someone wants to get my goat, all they have to do is bid significantly more than $10,000 to spend the day with Bill Coore.  Go ahead - I dare you!  It's all for a good cause!
