Not actually seen this one but I am frequently amazed that benches are not lined up to allow you to look forward.  Mostly they are used when play is held up on shorter holes when watching the misfortunes of those in front is half the fun.


Recently spent a very pleasant 10 mins watching the 13th(?) green at Cavendish with Duncan C. It was a good time in the round to take stock and enjoy the difficulty of the second and even third shots to the par 3 of those ahead of us.

Fortunately that bench on 17 at Cypress Point is oriented to allow you to watch people on the 16th behind you, which provides ample entertainment.
