Fall golf in the NE seems to be the best. There is less of a crowd as there are kids sports to go to, the mornings are crisp, and you dress in layers so as the sun warms, you can shed them. Tee off at 45 degrees and its 65 maybe as you finish. As noted earlier, the low angle of the sun casts a beautiful yellow glow over the earth, accentuating the rolls in the land. Of course the kaleidoscope of leaves turning adds to it, as well as all the movement and sounds of the birds and other animals as they prepare for winter. The rough is juicier, the greens are faster and firmer, its just the best.
