#10 at Sand Hills .....how good is it?

Saw a couple of pictures of Sand Hills the other day and it rekindled some great memories of my one trip there. Is the tenth hole one of the best holes Coore and Crenshaw have ever built?

I can think of a bunch of holes at Sand Hills I'd put before it. Why do you think it is so good?

This is twenty years ago but we played fifty four one day and every time I got to that second shot it seemed so cool ! You had to hit a shot that fought the fairway slope and flight it just right. Maybe with the new equipment its a short iron in for you guys. When we played you had to hit a pretty good second. liked the line of charm on it

It certainly has a wild fairway with nary a flat lie. There are 18 outstanding holes there. If I had to pick my favorite it would be number one. Every shot is important and fraught with danger, yet one can recover from a marginal shot. I was there for a week of 36 hole days and loved every minute.

Neil thanks so much for that great picture of ten green. It looks great and now I remember more about why I loved the hole. Could play pretty good then and hit a bunch of marginal second shots there until I finally hit the right one. Saw it in my head but couldn't flight it right at first.

Finally hit one low and skipped it in to the flag from about twenty five yards short of the green....Eureka! 8)

Thanks for providing the photo, Neil.  It's a "just look at that!" view.  Such pretty contours.
