Capricorn One golf

Remember the movie Capricorn One, the fake Mars landing movie?
How long before TV golf has become so techno orientated what with shot trackers and all that clever computer type stuff that you could have a hoax/fake pro tournament played on a simulator and the viewers wouldn’t  know?

I have read that in South Korea, "screen golf" (playing on a simulator) is a professional game of its own, and some of the competitors do not play the outdoor version.

The ultimate in the bifurcation of the game: indoors and outdoors. In some dystopian novel, there’d be the ‘Outlanders’ and the ‘Inlanders’ — the former nut-brown scavengers (from the toxic sun and parched landscape) and the latter pasty-faced effetes (from complete lack of exercise). But then dropped into this futuristic nightmare is an old ‘dvd’ of Nicklaus winning the ‘86 Masters at Augusta — and Outlanders and Inlanders come together to watch it together in awe and amazement. A whole mythology is soon built up and developed, with ‘Nor-man’ being the god of hubris and ‘Yes, sir!’ the way they end every prayer.

You need to flesh out a treatment of this and get it to the right people in the business. It might finally make an Oscar worthy golf movie.

Apparently it's possible to move a hurricane's path with a black marker pen so I can't see this being much of a challenge
