Sean in 100 or so caddying rounds and probably a similar number playing there over the years I’ve never seen anyone in the Himalayas bunker on the 4th at RSG!

I have been in it! Saw two others as well....all Xs.

Probably the Road Bunker. A litmus test could be taking the unplayable lie 2 stroke penalty to escape.

The up and down I was most proud of in about 5 years was from the huge left green side bunker at Pacific Dunes #6.  That bunker fits every definition of a tough bunker: 


It is scary to look at.


It is deep.


It presents a shot that temps you to try for too much. 


I took a driver swing with an LW to get it out and then made a curving 10 footer.


Green also runs away there some and long is down a steep bank. That's one you're saying to your playing competitor "good luck".

Love that hole.
