7 at Pebble Beach isn't quirky, but GolfMagic is a "major media outlet"? This thread is blowing my mind.

If the 8th green at Pebble Beach and the 5th green at Cape Arundel traded places, which one would be quirky?

Some of y'all have never been called out in bold green font and it really shows.

I know it's just words, semantics, but when I think of a person, place or thing described with the word "quirky," I don't see it's equivalent in PB... PB is better than the other things that are called quirky... it's got unique, unusual features...it's got environmental charm, challenging executive "asks" of a golf game, and some definitely eccentric aspects (8, 16, 17). And though #7 maybe an entirely quirky hole, Pebble Beach is still of a quality that is higher than "quirky."  ...I'm trying to flesh the word/phrase that's closer to "bold, diverse, invigorating, surprising... audacious is pretty good.
