Nice interview and I like it that GCA is called a "congregation."
Just one note, "Without him, [Jon] golfers on Golf Club Atlas and Instagram and Twitter (where he post as @linksgems) would not have access to the Pine Valleys, the Cypress Points, and the Yeaman’s Halls of this country and the world." (from the introduction) There are others who post pictures as well.

Great interview for a great guy. Jon's contributions here are top notch.

If Jon wants to come play your club, by all means, make it happen. He's a good player, a great photographer and an ever better guy. How he takes such amazing pictures while playing I'll never know - it is completely unobtrusive. Amazing.

Congrats, Jon.

Nice interview, Jon and Ron.

I have played or seen a few of your most enjoyable courses to shoot and agree they are awesome.

Also cool to learn what you use to take these wonderful photos.

I don't know how Jon  manages to bill 3000/hours/year at his law firm and visit so many courses and post his work on Twitter & Instagram.  ;D

Steve:

While I haven’t billed anywhere close to 3000 hours since I was a junior associate, I’d love to credit my work/golf balance to copious amounts of nicotine, caffeine and an aversion to sleeping, but in reality the secret is as simple as this: a tolerant wife and no kids.

I did mention some. I don't believe I would have had space to mention them all. I hope that you understand.

If pressed, I would list the top photo posters of all time in this order:
JC, Joe Bausch, Mark S. and My Own Self.

The reality of this discussion board is that posting images/course tours is not easy. I suspect that the other RM never considered anything other than words to be the conduit. In the early days of internet-land, images and video were prohibitive, due to bandwidth restrictions. It would take an immense redesign of the site to accommodate pictures the way words are, and I don't believe that is viable. This is a site for words, and that is why the accomplished golf course photographers, for the most part, have turned to Twitter, Instagram, and other media to showcase their work. Joe Bausch is the notable exception.

Nice interview and I like it that GCA is called a "congregation."
