2008 Open Championship

I just caught the end of the highlight show on Golf Channel. I guess it was tought that week, as +12 finished in a tie for 7th place. Is there any chance that kind of scoring ever happens again in a major?

In the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Koepka won with a score of +1.  T10 was at +7.  Pretty similar.
