I recently played at Tobacco Road and loved it. I know that there are caddies available through a service that the club contracts with. I’m not saying you can’t walk but I would think few do. Has anybody hoofed it around TR?

I even walked it with a caddie I brought over from Pinehurst. It's an easy walk.

Lots of elevation changes with some decent green to tee walks. “Easy” is the adjective you want to go with to describe the trek?
If you know where to cut off the circuitous cart paths its is a fine walk.
Seems the walkers got it right. I measured with Google Earth and its just over 4.5 miles from #1 tee to 18 green. I also avoided taking most of the shortcuts thru waste bunkers. Even adding an extra 10% for some wild shots or helping playing partners looks for balls put its at just over 5 miles.
It does that every other mouse click....not sure why. When I took the measurements, it was zoomed in. Then I zoomed it out to take the screen shot.Kalen
