Congrats to Zac for winning the Ellie Mae Classic and securing his 2019-2020 PGA Tour card.

Pretty impressive stuff.
It wasn't that long ago that he announced he was focusing mainly on playing again.
Congrats!

No Laying Up did a post win podcast that's worth listening to if you have interest in Zac's career. It was a very interesting interview in regards to him changing his thought process from trying to have a good finish to trying to win. He tried to keep his total bogies for the week below 4 -- something Andy Martinez had tried to get him to focus on when he looped for Zac and something Andy got from Tom Lehman. He is basically last on the Korn Ferry Tour in Driving distance so he decided to try to wedge it close and make putts. It would be karma if he played well at the  Old White given his MacRaynor love (first event of the fall).

Buck,

I also listen to the podcast. I thought it was really well done as well. Zac is certainly easy to cheer for!
I've been discussing the four bogey "challenge" with accomplished players since I heard it. All liked it, and agreed it should place you in a good position to win. All seem to have their own "games" they play against themselves within tournament play. ie. number of birdies, number of putts, fairways hit. I find it interesting to get into guys head who play a much different game then I do!!

Don’t listen if easily offended but he also recently was interviewed by @ClubProGuy about the architecture of toughest 2 holes on the Latin America mini tour at Matamoros CC.
