Guys can you use one of the live scoring apps like tournament manager to allow all of us to follow the match?  That would be cool as heck. It will be like the old days of radio where you have the news updates from sports announcing the present action.

Only problem being Carlton’s command of computer technology is Flintstonian, at best!

The weather is looking reasonably dry and unseasonably mild...

... with a gentle 44mph breeze to liven things up!

Nah, it suits my “nob the ball as hard as you can in a straight line” strategy.

 ;)

I still don’t know how many shots I’m getting. It’s got to be 8 or 9, surely?

We're up to a gentle 48mph breeze.

The latest forecast has it at 50mph for just about when we tee off. It's getting better all the time. ;D

Golf simply isn't possible with winds at those levels.  Standing up is basically impossible at 50mph.  However, the rather more reliable YR.NO is predicting 10m/s, which is 23 mph and whilst strong, that's manageable.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Someone will have to hang on to Tim in that wind - there's not much ballast on him  :)

Accuweather is predicting 32mph

Silloth Hourly Weather - AccuWeather Forecast for Cumbria United Kingdom by Duncan Cheslett, on Flickr

32 km/h (or 20mph).

It was the same with that 44 you presented earlier.

Fair dos on the Accuweather forecast, Ally. I missed that.

With the BBC one earlier however, I specifically checked my settings and it was definitely mph.

I can only assume that BBC weather is all to cock. I'm not sure that they have much interest in what is going on outside the M25 anyway!

The BBC weather forecast is never reliable.  It was Stan Dodd of this parish that introduced me to yr.no, which I think is the most reliable on-line forecast.

Being susceptible to rust, avoiding rain is of paramount importance to me.  I use a combo of yr.no and Met Office, but they aren't the best apps in terms of phone display.
