On a bit of a happier note:
I scrolled across the photo and found myself resting in the lovely, warming 'human' scale of it all -- rows of tightly-knit 3 story walk-ups, right up against the narrow streets of a compact and walk-able town, with nary a soaring stick box of a bank tower to be seen, and with church steeples & centuries old university buildings setting the tone instead of the sprawling shopping malls set a mile back from the jam-packed eight lane motorways dotted with drive-through take-out restaurants that characterize huge swaths of the modern day North American landscape.
As long as you can keep *that* Marty, I think you can consider yourself blessed -- especially since I'm told there are several good golf courses right there at the doorstep, right within short walking distance. Like my mentor in such things, Sean A, I've come to believe that 'greatness is over-rated'; several good golf courses is more than good enough for any good man (or woman).
