If Ogden is still in the grips of winter then maybe Crosland Heath is a more palatable Mackenzie fix.

I played many a winter alliance at both Ogden and Crosland Heath. Both courses were great venues in clement weather but in bad weather whilst the front nine at Ogden which spends its time climbing up a valley were somewhat sheltered the holes up to were really exposed. Crosland however is just really exposed except for the bar :P

I guess its an occupational hazard of playing decent golf in the Pennines. You've got to get up high for the good stuff!
