9 1/2 Bridges

What a treat to see Nine Bridges on TV this week. What about the course makes so many people who have never seen it believe that it is obviously unworthy of Top 100 status in the world? What box doesn't it tick?

I pulled this from the description of 9 1/2 Weeks on Rottentomatoes.com.

9 1/2 Weeks is deliciously awful, and as such will probably endure as a Camp Classic for the next hundred years.

It just seemed fitting.

I'm looking forward to a full report on the course from one of the players, when he gets home.

The course could be just dandy, for all I know.  It's all the won they've spent to win their place in the rankings that casts doubt on it.

You and Tom and I have enough won to fly to SOKO today and play the place, but why?  I flew to Melbourne 10 years or so ago to play Royal M, and if I hadn't found Kingston Heath it would have been money poorly spent.  Is there a Kingston Heath in SOKO?

PS--I liked 9 1/2 Weeks :-[

I saw a few interesting courses in South Korea, but there is nothing remotely similar to Kingston Heath.

Unfortunately for Korean golfers.

Why don't more high end courses in America use revetted bunkers. They look fun.

My guess is that they are too difficult and costly to maintain.
