Holes 2 through 10 will knock your socks off, with wonderful Travis greensites that I would stack up against any Travis course listed thus far. Some fascinating fairway undulations and long-forgotten imprints of Travis's old "mounds with sand pits" hazards. Another off-the beaten path golf course, easily accessed enroute between Burlington and Oakmont, is Thendara, up in the Adirondacks, and on the way back to civilization, Teugaga and Yahnundasis are a stone-throw away.
