Is that a new logo? Not the same one I have after playing in a tournament there a few years in a row.

I don’t know if it’s a new logo. I thought it was the traditional logo of Mayfield, so maybe it pre-dates the merger with Sand Ridge?

I checked the home page of Mayfield-Sand Ridge and this logo appears on it.

I was a member at Mayfield Sand Ridge when I lived in Cleveland, so I'll try to provide some background on the logo.

As mentioned by Brian, the logo on the ball posted by Tommy is the logo for the Mayfield Sand Ridge Club. It's been mentioned here previously, but the "Mayfield Sand Ridge Club" was formed through the merger of Mayfield Country Club and the Sand Ridge Club. The memberships of both clubs were combined and members of the club have access to both facilities/courses. As expected, prior to merging, both clubs had their own respective logos.

Mayfield's logo was a shield or crest with images referencing golf, tennis and curling:

Sand Ridge's logo was a diamond with a bird inside:

When the club's merged, a combined logo was created referencing the logos of both clubs: a Shield/Crest with a Diamond inside as seen in Tommy's initial post.

When I was a member, the Sand Ridge golf shop carried a lot of merchandise that still utilized the Sand Ridge-specific logo (although there was some merchandise with the combined logo), while the merchandise carried in the Mayfield golf shop primarily utilized the combined logo (although there were a few items that had the old Mayfield CC logo). Not sure if this is still the practice since its been two years or so since I've played the courses.

Instead of starting another thread, I figured I'd use this one because of the similar subject (I'm also a big fan of Mayfield CC and think it is very underrated.).

Can anyone identify this logo? Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Dean,
It would help if you included the logo you want identified.

Hello Pete:

I've cropped it and downsized it a bit. Let me know if you can see it now. Thanks.

Mission accomplished. I'd guess it opened in 1912

I am more fascinated about this logo of an ostrich on a ginger background.  Anyone else watch Letterkenny and remember Ginger and the Ostrich?  Allegedly!
