Yeah I pretty much did the routing. Peter Strand the original owner and developer got a number of people to do a routing, he picked 16 of mine and switched 4 and 5 I think to par 3 - 4 rather than my lpar 4 -3 from memory. Very nice chap, first day I met him his best friend had just died in a car accident. Peter died young too. I had nothing to do with the construction, was a fairly tight budget but a great piece of land, mature trees, water, nice elevation changes but not too hard to walk.


I would imagine it makes good money every year rather than tick the boxes for the Huntercoombe lovers.
A combination of whats good for golf and good for turf.
The Players Club, Cumberwell Park, The Kendleshire, Oake Manor, Dainton Park, Forest Hills, Erlestoke, St Cleres.

Thanks for your reply. Does the asking price seem reasonable to you?

Just being able to buy a recently restored 6-bedroom house and and 172 acres of land seems attractive to me, at least looking from  California. ;)

Yes its a good price with the buildings, the main house alone must be £1.5M and the land (£10k per acre) and I expect at that price it would have a 5% yield.
