Play Eastward Ho! this September
« on: May 05, 2018, 01:21:10 PM »
Ran has once again given me permission to plug my church's fundraiser at Eastward Ho! this year, to be held on Monday, September 17th.

It is a play your own ball tournament and is a 12:30 shotgun.

If you are not familiar with Eastward Ho!, below is a link to Jon Cavalier's excellent photo essay.   The course was most recently rated #40 on GolfWeek's top 100 classic courses in the USA.

If I were to be anywhere near Cape Cod this September I would make every effort to be there.  Love charity auctions that use money for a good cause and let people play some of the greatest courses.

Having participated in last year's event I can only reiterate the sentiments expressed previously about this course.
Beautiful
Challenging
Unique
The memory of that day brings with it a lingering appreciation for GCA genius seldom seen elsewhere.

If you have an opportunity to play in this event I highly recommend doing so.
You won't be disappointed.

Here are a few aerial shots of Eastward Ho that were taken subsequent to the tour that Randy linked above:

EHCC is a terrific golf course, and Randy's event is a great opportunity to see it if you have yet to do so.

Great course experience, played it last June.  Well worth the effort to get there while supporting a good cause..

Just signed myself, lovely bride and good buddy up. We're all competent golfers with a love of great architecture. We  do promise not to point out every interesting Fowler feature during the round! We're looking for a fourth to fill out our group; anybody interested?

Pete, I've mailed my check and look forward to joining you.  It's been many moons since I witnessed that sweet swing at Cuscowilla.  Can't wait.
