I think I’m available 20th and 21st. Any good?
Marty - Jerry and I are at Anstruther with Sean at 3:30ish on the 20th. Then we are at Elie at 12:00 on the 21st. We have four on the 21st (Jerry, Sean, Sterling and me), but I"m sure they would let us play 2 & 3 if you want to join up.

Gonna try and catch up with you guys tomorrow at Elie. I’ll just walk as the Tendinitis in my right elbow and the Osteoarthritis in my left knee and hip are making it way too sore to swing a golf club!
Vaughan, what’s your movements the next few days?
Cheers,
M.

Gentlemen, please hoist one for me in honor of Bill. I recall several fond memories hosting him here in Arizona. Always a laugh, smile, story and some great discussion. Wish I could be there, but will be in spirit.

Sorry, I cannot be there as we away on holiday. But 23rd May is my wife's birthday and she came from St Andrews, so we'll be there in spirit.

A fine evening was enjoyed in Bill’s memory, as the boys went off to the Buda Cup festivities I’m sure they will post a report and photos when things quieten down.

Bill would have been very proud, humbled, and happy...

We had a nice turnout for the “wee memorial” to Bill at the Dunvegan on 23
May.

Ward Peyronnin prepared a Balvenie Doublewood canister (Bill’s favorite single malt) as a container for a “baggy” of Bill’s ashes. We applied an engraved plaque that read:

Bill “Ace” McBride

Sheena Willoughby, the former owner of the Dunvegan, was on hand to express her fondness for Bill and to participate in our brief ceremony.

The Dunvegan honored Bill by placing his Balvenie Doublewood canister in their prized “Very Old/Rare” section of single malts.

If you have the opportunity to visit the Dunvegan please be sure to make a Balvenie Doublewood toast to Bill and take a photo to post here.

One thing that struck me about the St Andrews gathering and indeed the get together in Golspie when we got together to spread some of Bill's ashes on the course, was what happy occasions they were. Lots of laughter and happy memories. Wardo, Mike and Lou all said some lovely things about Bill and it was a nice way to remember such a great guy.

When I am in Dundee next year I will nip over to St. Andrews and have a nip for Bill.

I may be smiling, but I was this far away from bubbling like a baby.
He touched my heart like I'm sure he did everyone he met.
Every time I visit the auld toun I'll be thinking of him.
