Have you played it? Kevin Lynch is there as I type. Curious what the tree house thinks of this Kiwi Kourse.

I did not-went to Piha beach on a detour up to Tara Iti instead (family trip)
Looked like a lot of fun though from the pictures i saw and with a daughter living in Auckland I hope to get there next winter.

Good links course.

Had to change some holes as they were in danger of losing them. That was on the first nine.
The ninth hole does not quite fit the land.

Made some changes on the second nine. Holes moved more inland. Did a good job.

Not a rich club but very welcoming.

If your in the Auckland area worth a trip out there. Not as good as Titirangi.

Played it multiple times in 2007, 2008, and 2009 while in Auckland area.

Thought of it as fun to play at a nice setting on the Tasman Sea.  Enjoyed members I met.

Titirangi would be more interesting from architectural perspective.

What's the procedure for playing Tara Iti?

Charles:

You can visit Tara Iti ONCE as an outsider by writing to the club and requesting.  You have to stay on property [for as long as you want, if there is a room available].  It is very expensive, and it seems to be very much in demand all of a sudden, for some reason!

Ronald:

I've never gone over to Muriwai, because when I've asked anyone in NZ they've said not to bother.  Several holes were moved away from the best land years ago, and the work that was done has not been well received by the locals.
