When I was there in December 2014, they were just about to start the work. Supposedly it was just a returfing job in an effort to firm up the greens. Still made me a bit nervous though to hear, as any time you open up greens to soil/sand, it is easy to lose things, especially things like the sharp falloffs and subtle rolls that make the greens at Ballybunion. Hopefully it turned out well. There are definitely some talented shapers and finishers among the Irish and UK contractors, so there is a chance everything appears just the same.
