Has anyone seen Silo Ridge? Quite short for a new Fazio course at just under 6800.

The pictures from Shoal Creek and Makena appear to be reversed. Shoal Creek does not have cart paths.

There's not seriously a best "remodel" and a best "renovation" ::) ::) ::) ::)
thus creating room for a future best "restoration"

TPC Sawgrass changes #12 and regrasses greens and its considered a renovation. And wins. That will help sell magazines.

Don't they win that award every year?

Hopefully they're eligible for a restoration award soon...

Odd attributions. Why does JWL get credit for Shoal Creek but Jackson & Kahn nothing for MPCC? (not meaning to say Jim doesn't deserve it btw, just in case he's reading  :)  )

Adam,

Jackson Kahn received credit in the online and print edition of this article (original poster did not include):
Best Remodel -- 1st Place: Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Dunes Course)

Pebble Beach, CaliforniaPrivate Course. Tom Fazio, redesigner with Tim Jackson of Jackson Kahn Design.

This is a head scratcher about Sand Valley, the reviewer must have been talking about Mammoth Dunes:

I also like their editing, which uses the word “quark” instead of “quirk”...maybe a nod towards impending nuclear events?  :P

What is the intended distinction between "remodel" and "renovate"?

The pics of the original TPC are incredible to me. So much scrub grass and true, sandy, waste areas.

Was the Old White restoration purely because of the flood? I'm surprised it counted as a restoration as Lester George had restored it to the CBM design principles originally. I assumed Keith Foster was just putting it back together.

Did Keith Foster get paid for his work?

That would be novel for Justice.

As far as the GD list, whither Streamsong Black and resto of Winged Foot?

Golden Horseshoe???

It is a shame LACC did not get recognition for the outstanding work done on the South Course.

According to Mr. Foster, he made substantial changes.  I really liked the course before the floods and look forward to playing it again post-Foster work.

I played the renovated Old White this past September and was impressed by Foster's work. The greens were largely similar to the pre-flood version though a few were significantly reshaped or repositioned (7, 12, 14, and 18 come to mind). The most striking change was the bunkering. Some of the green side bunkering is quite severe now, and visually the course is much more appealing. Unfortunately the ridiculous greens fee hasn't changed....

I wonder whether there was some opening date cutoff.

I'll second this.  LACC(s) is absolutely deserving of a high ranking.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.
