I heard some rumors that the development plans have hit some snags due to wetland issues, and that there was interest in the property from some major golf course operators.

Clicking around on the above links it’s interesting that the same firm that is redeveloping Edgmont is involved in redeveloping part of Philmont CC’s South Course.

Located in Huntingdon Valley, a northern suburb of Philadelphia, Philmont Country Club is a private club that boasts two 18-hole golf courses, 10 Har-Tru outdoor tennis courts, and an Olympic sized swimming pool in addition to the lifestyle afforded by membership of a country club. In an effort to recapitalize the club, Philmont Country Club was acquired by Concert Golf Partners in March 2017. Upon acquisition, Ridgewood and Concert teamed up to redevelop of a portion of the 18-hole South Golf Course at Philmont.
