This is what one of the Sonoma County wildfires did to Fountaingrove Golf Club.


Surrounding homes and neighborhood, vaporized.
Several people killed.
All from raging flames pushed by 80mph winds that witnesses say moved the length of a football field every three seconds, for miles.


I shot this while hanging out the door of an Air National Guard helicopter.

Any news of Sonoma Golf Club? One of my favorites in Northern California.

I am pretty sure Sonoma Golf Club did not suffer any damage to the course or the buildings on the property. I do not know how close the fire came to it. I believe a number of homes in the Glen Ellen area did burn.

Thanks David. That's horrific. I used to travel up that way on business but never knew the town other than what is right off of the freeway. My thoughts are with those affected.
