Your issue at the Medalist may be that the yardages on all of the sprinkler heads are to the front of the green. Unfortunately, the caddie is expected to know the green depths and the hole location and our caddie did not the last time I was there. Too bad to because I think the Medalist has a lot of things going for it.
I would suggest trying to play Mayacoo Lakes if you have some extra time down there, it's a Muirhead/Nicklaus design that's pretty good and should not be impossible to get on this time of year. It's about 7 minutes from Emerald Dunes. Emerald Dunes is pretty pricey, but a fun course. I agree with the others about the course at PGA facility in Port St. Lucie, but be forewarned, play there is really slow.
