Just got back from a wonderful trip through Nebraska. A lot of the locals were raving about the new ten hole course Tom Lehman designed in Valentine. The two videos on their Facebook page show what looks like a fun, minimalist effort from Lehman.  Here is the link,  https://www.facebook.com/ValentineGolfClub/. Rumor has it Tom will add 8 more holes in the next 2 years. Has anybody played it yet? Please share your comments. I would love to hear more about the course.

First I've heard of the course, actually.


The Facebook page says "Valentine Golf Club".  Is it on the site of an older course, have they moved to a new location, or is it a brand new venture?  I don't remember if Valentine had its own course back when I was there 15 years ago.

The first I heard of it was chatting with some of the staff at Prairie Club and then I ran into Jack at Pelican Beach and he worked on the project. The owner of the Prairie Club is behind the project. Probrably the reason Lehman was selected. I believe the course is officially owned by the city. If you look at google maps it looks like a new build. You can see roughed out holes.
