HOLE #1  CRADDOCK   Par 5 (555) 490  455  425. The (555) is a new pink tee very near the practice putting green.
Heads W. Shared fairway (Hankins 18), diagonal crossing. Stand alone green.

Tee elevated above fairway, after tee shot gently sloping uphill to small green, which is located above the right side/end of darker green.



bunkers are definitely in front of the green, causing depth perception problems

Tee shot gently uphill, should be aimed at the fairway bunker as the green is oriented to receive shots from the right side

Blind and short. Flagstick at right edge of big tree. Strongly suggest you scout out hole location while playing #3.

Plays as a mostly straight dogleg left, fairway and green shared with Hankins 12.


Didn't get tee shot view. This picture is from the left side fairway bunker, not a bad location. With H-12 playing in the same direction, center to right is best line.


Picture about 30 yds short right best shows green and bunker. Long shots will run into native area where
any lie is possible.

Tee view towards goal on hilltop. Fairway slopes gently right. I think the charm line is just left of the bunker

Uphill, slight dogleg right. Drive should favor left side. This mid-hole shot shows the approach.
Green is in front of the low back bunker ridge. Right front bunker primarily for Hankins 8.  Open left.

Plays N. This is the first of three stand-alone holes. The first two head up a side valley west of the severe drop-off Hankins 8.



tee shot view. The green sits about 10-15 feet higher than the tee box. Fronting bunker guards the left half very well.
When the hole is cut behind the bunker I will play to the right and hope to two putt.

Plays N. Stand alone. Plays up the same valley as #10

green located above the left edge of fairway bunker. Strong contours on green and the left side of the green
ties in a husky ridge in front. Left half of the green is an extra club.

Plays SE. Stand alone hole which finished a (  to reach the area of Hankins 7 tee and the comfort area.



Equal elevation hole across a valley. Strong upslope before green must be carried.

Plays SE, moderately downhill.. Shares fairway with Hankins 6.  Stand alone green.


Back tee shot is elevated and crosses the Hankins green. Front tees by Hankins green. Fairway slopes strongly left,
may lead to stance problems. If left can also be blocked by trees.  Would the hole be better with tees on the left side?



This picture is taken from the front tees (by the Hankins green) shows a different perspective for the tee shot.
That should be played down the right side to have both an open view for the second shot and compensate for the sideslope of the fairway, down to the left.


The tee shot down the right side could provide this view. Go left and you have to avoid some trees.

Unless playing for the green, best strategy is play to the right for better angle. Left edge of green is at twin-trunked tree.

Slightly downhill plays to NE. Good drive will reach Hankins 1 fairway, Shares green with Hankins 1.


Supposed to be a speed slot on the right side. Best play is towards the right bunker to open up green.
If you stay left you will be looking...


at this angle to the green.  Challenge the bunkers. For more pictures of the green check Hankins 1,
both holes should approach the green at the same angle.

Green opens up from the left, but a miss left maybe be lost in high grass.
