None of the examples are average projects or a good window on finances ... though that's not a surprise coming out of the New York Times.

At the Affordable Golf Symposium at Southern Pines (2013, I think), Ron Whitten gave a talk on his trials and tribulations of being a golf course operator.  There were a lot of facts and figures.  I wonder if any one has a transcript?
